Katherine McPhee

Katherine McPhee is proof that winning doesn`t always make you number one. The American Idol runner up may not have won the show`s title but is definitely a star. A hit on the Broadway scene, she studied at the Boston Conservatory. Her self-titled album debuted at number 2 on the Billboard chart with songs Over It and Love Story monopolizing MTV`s Total Request Live. McPhee has a much publicized battle with bulimia; due to the eating disorder she lost 30 lbs during American Idol. Other than musicals, McPhee has been on Ugly Betty and has roles in Crazy and I Know What Boys Like. Her charity, McPhee Outreach, supports the Lollipop Theater Network which brings big screen, blockbuster movies to hospitalized children as soon as they are released into theaters.
