As the lead vocalist of the punk pop rock band Good Charlotte (best known for the single Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, The Anthem, and Predictable), Joel Madden, nee Joel Combs, grew Good Charlotte to fame with the help of fellow members Billy Martin (keyboard), Paul Thomas (bass), and his twin brother, Benji Madden (lead guitar). While Madden has been always been popular with musical devotees, it was his romantic life that turned him into a boldface name. His relationship with Hilary Duff lasted two years, after which he immediately began dating socialite Nicole Richie. The two are expecting a son, said to be born in January 2008.
