While he may be best known for his role as Detective Woody Hoyt in Crossing Jordan his portrayals in the Sci-fi cult classic Sliders, Jerry Maguire, Mission to Mars, Room 6, Ugly Betty and Carpoolers have our interest peeked. O`Connell also tried his hand at writing, creating the screenplay for First Daughter which starred Katie Holmes. O`Connell`s younger brother Charlie was on the seventh season of The Bachelor.
