This actor, producer, director, screenwriter, practical joker, and People`s Sexiest Man Alive repeat winner won fame with his lead role on ER in the 1990s. However, this TV success was preceded by less glamorous roles on The Facts Of Life, The Golden Girls, Roseanne, and Sisters. In 1997, he played Batman in the film Batman And Robin but found greater silver screen success after leaving ER and starring in films such as O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Ocean`s 11, Syriana, and Good Night, And Good Luck which he directed, produced, and starred in and for which he was nominated for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay Oscars in 2006. He won Best Actor the same year for Syriana.
