Will Smith, a Philadelphia native, wanted to be a rapper and musical artist. He adopted the persona "the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and began performing around L.A. NBC caught wind of him and decided to create a sitcom based on his life. During the six year tenure of the series, Smith dabbled in film starring in Bad Boys, Men in Black, Enemy of the State, and Wild Wild West. Smith is married to musician and actress Jada Pinkett Smith. Smith continued to produce successful music with hits songs like "Freakin' It," "Miami," and "Just the Two of Us"
