With Vlad's web experience and Megs' wish for a blog of her own, The Purse Blog was started in March of 2005 on a whim. As readership grew, we added the Purse Forum to provide a place for handbag lovers to chat about the newest trends & designs. Eventually it turned into Megs' full time activity to blog about bags while Vlad covers the technical side of things as he finishes his Masters Degree.

I blog about Black Hollywood because back when I started there was nothing else like it. A chick can only take so much Paris & Lindsay. I'm Natasha and I am a self professed celebaholic with a side order of gossipaholism. So making a blog with celeb gossip, fashion, foolywang material, and my own personal touches came naturally. Who wouldn't love to catch celebs with a horrid weave job & others who know how to do it up right? It's all fabulous! - Natasha

I've always loved beauty products, but didn't put pen to virtual paper until September 2005, when I started Beauty Addict.  I was on vacation in Greece when my friend Belle & I hatched the idea (thanks Belle!). For years, I was the only black beauty editor at mainstream magazines, and I'd become a voice for women of color. We launched the ezine Second City Style on September 16, 2005. Carol does all the graphics, I do all the editing and we both do everything in-between. We now have 8 contributing writers. The Second City Style blog was launched in late July of last year and that has become my full-time gig. Second City Style is our passion because we are crazy in love with all things fashion.
