What’s it like backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show? Being backstage is an odd mix of feelings. On one hand it’s the most invigorating experience, and on the other hand it’s also very humbling to be part of it all. There are so many smiles and so much anticipation among the girls and the rest of the crew. The show is the Super Bowl of fashion shows—and there’s quite a lot of buildup.
How do you prepare for your walk down the runway? I work out for two months prior, every day for an hour. I do core-strengthening exercises as well as lots of stretching to achieve a long, lean look.
Who are some of your favorite designers? I really admire Roberto Cavalli and Zac Posen.
What do you do to feel absolutely glamorous? I think feeling glamorous starts from inside out! First I use a great scrub like the VS spa collection warming foot scrub. I use it everywhere. Knees. Elbows. Toes. I feel so sexy and glamorous when I feel pampered from head to toe.
Do you have a favorite pair of shoes? Shoe designer? My favorite shoe designer is Christian Louboutin. I think I own all of his shoes by now. I can’t say that any one pair is my favorite. Do you have a favorite handbag? My favorite bag is a brown faux-snakeskin bag I bought on the VS website, Victoriasecret.com, a long time ago. My mom actually stole it from me. I want it back or I want another. What is the last piece of clothing you bought? The last piece of clothing I bought was a Roberto Cavalli evening gown that I got for the Dreamgirls premiere. It was a very last-minute purchase a few hours before the event. And I lucked out because it’s so classic I’ll have it forever! Do you have any fashion rules you live by? A fashion rule I live by to the point of obsession is to prevent panty lines at all costs. They can totally ruin any look. The seamless Body by Victoria thong is an amazing cure-all for panty lines.
