A native of Barbados, Rihanna credits her talent to her heritage. She also names Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and Beyoncé as inspirations, saying, "They encouraged me and inspired me to do this. I would look at them and say I want to be just like them when I grow up—I want to be onstage too.”

Rihanna first piqued our interest in 2005 with the debut of her first album, Music of the

Sun. With her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad, already a success and megahit singles like Umbrella, she has joined the ranks of
